New Evac Complete Cleantech Solution contract in cruise segment won

Evac has received a new large cruise vessel order, fuelling even further growth for the coming years.

Although the company cannot yet disclose the name of the client, they confirm the order is for Evac Complete Cleantech Solution covering the integrated waste and wastewater management systems for three large-scale cruise vessels with an option to outfit an additional one vessel. The initial three-vessel contract is valued at approximately 10 million euros.

In addition, Evac has continued to secure many large navy, coast guard, and offshore orders during the first quarter of 2016, increasing the company’s backlog value closer to 60% compared to the last year.

The Evac product package for each of the three cruise vessels includes an Evac MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor) wastewater treatment plant, enabling vessels to operate without any limitations. The Evac MBBRs allow vessels to be operated in many Environmentally Sensitive Sea Areas (ESSAs) and Special Areas (SAs) defined nationally or internationally, where special discharge restrictions apply.

The Evac Complete Cleantech Solution contract also includes dry and wet waste treatment systems including an incinerator and recycling equipment, covering glass, plastic, paper, cardboard and aluminum waste, food waste vacuum systems, a bio sludge treatment unit, plus vacuum collecting systems including six vacuum units and approximately 2,300 vacuum toilets per vessel.

The first of the three vessels has a scheduled delivery for 2018, with the last vessel slotted for 2021.
